Day 4:
Today we were supposed to see Matilda and her family because they just came back from Melbourne. So great, I'm busy playing and suddenly...

"LATE!!!"

Okay, so this time I was SECOND-LAST. My poor bro couldn't put his shoes on. XD

Alright so actually, theres nothing much to say. Just went to some temple where she showed me this pic of someone and I just happened to blurted out "he's spastic". Well so much for that. (=

Then lunch came, we went to this Suzhou restaurant thing which served about 7 appetizers that were of some weird origins. The 1st dish being...duck tongues...=.=

So anyway, after the big lunch, tried to hit another temple but it was closed. Finish la, come home and play, got lots of hw done(actually I'm just doing it only now ^^).


See, I told you it was boring.


So I guess we're back to normal.

Of course, there's still the other day-after-sunday holidays. And some might even argue that it's supposed to last 15 days "according to the lore...". Alright, so now what's the point of this randomness?


Day 0:
Alright, I didn't know it was reunion dinner. I was thinking it was only on the 1st and eveything would be fine, continued to play when suddenly....

"LATE!!!"

Dash here dash there, 5 mins and I was out and earlier than my family. ^^ Rush and drive, never speed, got to the restaurant and...

We weren't late. In fact, no one else had arrived yet...XD

Okay, so after the lot, I ended up laughing like mad with my cousin. (= Eat finish, walk along chinatown all the wayyyyy....to a coconut store. Buy coconut and drink and then...go back...losers...=P

But yeah, Chinatown's a fabulous place. Especially when you're sweating like mad and there's a few hundred people around you helping you sweat even more. ^^

As we went back, we did some kind of "hold-on-to-his-shirt-since-it's-dark-and-you-need-a-guide" thing. Okay, I know my family's pretty random, but it's not like I made that choice. (= So I was right in front and about to grab the person in front of me when I jumped back and realised it was an Indian woman in a saree. Well sorry, how would you expect me to see in that darkness? (NO racism intended! =O)


Day 1:
Real fun day, reeeally....-.- We heated the curry up at about 8+

Went over to my grandma's house and sat there, eat curry, ppl come, take angbao, then go back and stone again, then lunchtime eat curry again. Then teatime it was more curry.

Stone for about erh...5 hours plus? (=

Then at 6+, my mom let me go to the playground. Yeah, I know this is all random again, but what can you expect for someone who has been stoning and the only form of entertainment, my uncle's DS, has been coped by my other cousin. To play Nintendogs...><

Okay so play around, cousin pushes me down...twice...I'll get you for that. =P

Go back to my grandma's and it's dinner time. And Lo and Behold! CURRY! ><

Yeah so finish, then said byebye, go home and I got to play till I went to sleep. (=


Day 2:
Woke at 7 today. Played WoW, as usual. (= Then got bugged for breakfast at about 9something. Guess what it was, curry! Yes, very smart! =P

Then i was just stoning around when...

"LATE!!!!"

Same procedure, I was earliest...again. =P

Go visit again. Say hello, never get angbao becuase yesterday got alrd. =P Ate lunch at my great-uncle(something like that)'s house. Finish then go some temple then go visit my paternal grandparents. According to my parents, it happened by such random chance that my dad's side isin't really friendly. And after hearing some random report of one of my aunties pouring acid on my belly, I don't think they're really friendly. But it doesn't matter to me anyway, I don't have a digestive deficiency. ^^

So finish alrd, go back to my uncle's place. Stone down there, play AI for fun. Then eat dinner, and play mahjong. Well there was 1 highlight of the day. =P

So mahjong finish and my mom and bro won basically all the rounds, sigh and go back home, and then write this random thing la. =D


So what's the moral of the story?

How many days doesn't matter. It's what you do in those days that matters.

It's a new year, but it was different from all the other new years...I forgot when reunion dinner was.

Alright, so yesterday I said to Kee:

"People just take Valentine's to be so important, tomorrow no one will find it special in any way."

And lo and behold, the bloody total defence siren! =P

Am I a genius or what? Actually, jks. (=

So does anyone really value total defence(NO Propaganda guarantee), compared to something one day before it? Besides a long speech by dr. ong, and a whole PC lessons spent on it, what actually makes one realise that this is an important day?

It not being an important day for some people doesn't mean it's not important for everyone. To each his own, whether he or she likes it or for whatever reason.

So let's think, if one day you're walking down the street and you see someone (don't care whether you love or hate, or never even see the person before) just in front of you and suddenly the person just gets caught in a small bomb and blows up into pieces. Would that day be important for you then? Especially if it's someone you value, it won't be easy letting go, but there's nothing that will change the way of the situation. Everyone has to lose someway in the end. But what matters not is getting perfectness, but how you learn from your losses.

So yeah, really, no amount of talk, how good or how bad, will make someone who doesn't think 15Feb is an important day, not because of total defence. Only something that happens will completely change the situation and everyone, dead or alive will come to the conclusion...

That each passing day is as important as it's former, latter, and itself. (=


So how important do you deem it to be?

More importantly, who decided to put it tomorrow? =P

It sounds a bit off the modd to say this but, "The holiday is named after two men" and "The day became associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished." sounds really different from the valentine's we all know, but I'm just hoping either the info is wrong or for the better, in which case I can't find a way out of. =P

So, get the small print? Things we do every day, every week, every month, every year. They may not be what they seem. We just do so-and-so because "everyone spring clean house during CNY, must do also".

So after another round of crap, what's my point? =P Well, any special occasion is what you deem it. Sure, without all this crowd-following, we wouldn't end up at where we were right now. Surely, someone must have thought whoever thought up of Valentine's a long long time ago must've been mad. But now everyone just follows the tradition. Such is the way of life. ^^

So, not to bore you further, I'm just going straight to the point: Tomorrow I am going to school, and after that I'm going for more SYF rehearsals until 6+ and finally go home and play. Any questions?

And no, I won't take "Will you be my valentine?" for a question. If you wanna do that ask me on the 15th. Okay okay, just joking, as if anyone would ask that anyway. xD

Okay okay, so that last post was abit stupid, but hey, it's weekend, what else do you expect me to talk about. =P

Unfortunately, due to the fact that I have emaths, bio and MEP tests all crammed into tomorrow, I have to get back to my books and I shall post tmr. =(

Other than the fact that I was running around like a headless chicken in the school compound shortly after school and getting a short warning for talking about how dr. ong was running late.

But seriously, the fountain shouldn't be funny. (=

Right, so I had to send matilda off to melbourne. So we had a little chat and something really interesting popped up.

"Why do girls usually(i'm not being sexist here), usually mature faster than boys in the behaviour sense?"

Funny I always answer my own questions...hehe. (=

Anyway.

For generations and generation, the male has always been GENERALLY the stronger half(Disclaimer!). SO naturally relating them to being a big rock, they're real stubborn too.

Lemme repeat this if you didn't read the disclaimer, guys are GENERALLY really kinda stubborn. Hardly any of us just realise it. =P

This doesn't give you the opportunity to flame me for being a guy and degrading my own peeps. =P This trait has its pros and cons. But that I'll cover another day.

Now you see, using common sense, gals GENERALLY have the opposite trait from guys, they're more willing to change. Details another day, I'm getting nagged to go to bed. =P

2nd Disclaimer!: If you haven't already realised, I've put lots of emphasis on the word "generally", lots of it. Why? Because there's bound to be exceptional and special cases, we're all special in one way or another anyway. =P

So, once again, using simple powers of deduction(okay, okay, too cheem! =P), since gals are willing to change, they learn faster and therefor mature "faster". For the guys, you can apply the theory, I really need to go to bed. =P

Anyway, this week it was kevin-ng-has-chicken-pox, english-and-chinese-class-tests-week. I got my OEP assignment returned to me with some small writing like mine, telling me that my writing was superbly small in some very mean way. Man, at least be a little kinder. =D Can'[t say too much, later kena caught and punished for no reason. (=
